Cherry Stampka: in line with threat you will possibly desire to placed a 2nd clutter container contained in the recent spot for a mutually as so he gets used to going there till now you're taking his previous one away. once you're living house, you will possibly desire to shop a beware for him going to his previous container, and while he gets in it, scoop him up and take him to the recent one. which will inspire him to start utilizing it. i'm specific he already knows the place the container is that in case you have shown him; he's only no longer as delicate with that spot yet. in case you lock him in there over night he will only be traumatized and have destructive institutions with that room, which will added dissuade him from ever utilizing that container. you additionally can attempt to ensure if there is something contained in the laundry room that scares him / makes him uncomfortable (i.e. a working washer). that's that that may no longer a reliable region in any r! espect....Show more
Clinton Quant: Getting your cat to the Vet as soon as possible is really important. I would let the Vet know what you gave to your cat, as I have never heard of giving a cat charcoal or Ipecac tablets. Are those things a Vet would approve of giving a cat? Take your cat to the Vet as soon as possible & take the bottle of Swiffer cleaner with you. The Vet can examine the contents to see if anything in the cleaner, when consumed, would make a cat sick. If the Vet thinks the cleaner is to blame for your cat becoming ill, please consider using Murphy's Oil Soap in a bucket of hot water, when cleaning your floors in the future. It has a veggie base & shouldn't make your cats ill. I have a young cat & I use the Swiffer Wet Jet to clean my floors. So far, she's been okay, but I have yet to see her lick the floor. I wish you the best with your cat. I hope she'll be all right. >^-^...Show more
Marvella Benward: She is better now. Only thing that is d! ifferent is no more Swiffer residue on the floor. Also FYI th! is is a cat that licked the glue off of the wrapper wrapped around menstral pads. It is sweet also. Also note that my other two cats did not lick the floors, but isn't there always the odd one that does. This is for them and their owners; believe or don't.
Arnoldo Budzynski: Some people sprinkle used coffee grounds in their gardens to repel cats. Some plant Rue."Tips for Repelling Cats"http://www.imustgarden.com/repel-cats/Some plants actually attract cats, like catnip, so make sure that you don't have any plants in your yard that may be attracting it!...Show more
Lissette Semon: I can't find the ingredients so I can't really say. Royal Canin, however, is not a good food. Not all pet food is made equally. A lot of it is full of corn, by-products, dyes, unhealthy preservatives, filler grains and all sorts of nasty stuff. A lot of pet food companies are perfectly happy to the dump cheap leftovers and things that aren't safe for human consumption (from human food pr! ocessing plants) into their foods. Will it kill your cat? No, it has to be nutritionally complete and safe to even be marketed. Is it healthy? Not by a long shot.Corn is a low quality ingredient you never want to see in your pet food. Corn and low quality grains are two of the biggest culprits when it comes to food allergies in our pets.Thankfully, there are some excellent cat foods being made these days that include organic, human grade ingredients rather than trash not fit for human consumption.Examples of low quality foods to avoid: Anything you can find in a grocery store will be low end, Purina, Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Royal Canin, Whiskas, Fancy Feast, Friskies, Meow Mix.Examples of high quality foods to look for: Innova, Wellness, Solid Gold, Felidae, Fromm Four Star, Merrick, GO Natural, Nature's Variety Prairie, Nature's Logic, Artemis Fresh Mix, Timber Wolf Organics.Although the high quality foods are more expensive, you're getting what you're paying for. Le! ss filler material means more concentrated nutrients... this means you ! typically need to feed far less of the high quality food than you would of the low quality one. Which also means less poop! Before following your vet's food recommendation, keep in mind that vets get /very/ little nutritional training during their schooling. Besides that, what training they /do/ get is usually sponsored or taught by the crappy pet food companies! They also often get paid to sell some of their products at their clinics (Science Diet, Royal Canin etc.)A great option is to go with an entirely grainless diet. Diets high in grain have been attributed to problems with diabetes in cats. Cats are obligate carnivores, so why should there be grain in their diet? Many of the high quality foods now put out grainless formulas. Some good grainless diets include: Innova EVO, Wellness CORE, Blue Wilderness, Nature's Variety Instinct, Orijen, Horizon Legacy, Merrick Before Grain, Fromm Surf & Turf, Now!, and Sold Gold Indigo Moon, Taste of the Wild. Some pretty decent foods c! an even be found in common pet stores. Petsmart carries Blue Buffalo products (such as the excellent grain free diet Blue Wilderness). Petco carries Wellness, Solid Gold, Natural Balance, Eagle Pack Holistic, Blue Buffalo, Castor & Pollux Organix, Pinnacle, and Halo. If you can't find a food, most of the high quality food brands have websites with store locators on them.Another option, if you can't find anywhere around you that sells good foods, is to order your pet food online. Here's an excellent place to do so: http://www.petfooddirect.com/store/Remember that foods should be switched gradually (mixing new slowly in with the old over about a two week period), especially when switching to a higher quality one, so as not to upset tummies.Another option for feeding cats is to feed raw. This is something that should be thoroughly researched before being attempted:http://www.rawfedcats.org/http://www.rawfed.com/http://www.wysong.net/controversies/rawmeat.shtmlNow the question ! is, do you feed wet or dry? Wet is the correct answer. The reason is, i! n the wild, cats normally get most of their water content directly from their prey items and drink very little. Domestic cats are no different, and because of the fact that they are designed to take in water with their meal, they have a very low thirst drive. Cats often just don't drink enough. This leads to urinary tract infections and crystals. The bit about dry food being better for teeth is a myth and has not been proven in the least (cats barely even chew their dry food and, really, does a pretzel clean /your/ teeth? Cats should have their teeth brushed with cat toothbrushes and cat toothpaste at least a few times a week as well as see the vet for dental cleanings when necessary /regardless/ of what they are being fed). Canned/wet food is better because it more closely mimics the cat's natural diet. More on why canned food is best:http://www.catinfo.org/ (Excellent cat nutrition information by a vet)http://cats.about.com/cs/catfood/a/canned_food.htmhttp://www.littlebi! gcat.com/index.php?action=libra...http://www.felinefuture.com/nutrition/bpo_ch4.phphttp://maxshouse.com/feline_nutrition.htmAnother option to get cats to drink more would be a cat fountain. Cats tend to like to drink from running water and cat fountains see to that need, encouraging cats to take in more water. Also remember that freefeeding (leaving food down) is the fast lane to feline obesity. Make sure to have scheduled feeding times based on the feeding instructions on your cat's food.More:http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/ (Dog food reviews. It's for dogs, but most of the high quality brands also put out excellent cat foods. Four stars is a decent food, five stars is a great food, and six stars is an excellent food.)Darksong~...Show more
Hope Lundmark: My cat is vomiting for three days. I give her charcoal in case it is food poisoning on the second day.As I have two other cats and I didn't know which one it was. Then she is nauseous on the third d! ay, so I give her ipeca tablets. No solid food but syringe her water. ! She seems much better walking around drinking out of her dish. Then oddly enough she is starts to "LICK" the floor! Well isn't that weird! Later I get an Epiphany! I just used Swiffer Wet Jet on that Saturday, maybe it is the floor cleaner? So I wash it all up with vinegar, soap and water, and rise it also. Another dose of Charcoal down her throat. She is not happy with me. I'm not happy with Swiffer Wet Jet possibly causing physical damage to her body in the long run! The fact is another woman lost her dog to it. What attacks them to it is it is sweet. It is antifreeze on your floor!!!! Now I will be talking to my Vet, and hoping no long term damage is done!...Show more
Rosalva Steinmann: At first it may confuse her, nut if you want to move it. I have had a cat before and that what i did. Take her to her litter box until she knows were it is and gets familiar with the new route. It's worked for me and it will woark for you.
Mitsuko Manne: ya i like itt! astes great : )
Jeff Frizzell: I can't find the ingredients either. They do say that they have no corn or soy which is a good thing. It does use potato to bump up the protein which isn't a good thing but even some of the really good foods do this so it's not unheard of. It includes yucca which isn't the worst thing but isn't great either. There are too many fishy varieties which is not a good thing but they do have 1 or 2 that are just plain meat. So all in all, considering the fact that I can't find an ingredient list, it seems like a fairly decent food. Definitely better than Royal Canin.I'm not up on my UK foods although I believe you guys have less options than we do.As for the company, I can't get very far on their website either. In general, I don't think well of any cat food company. Some produce better foods than others but I suspect their bottom line is much less ethical than we'd like it to be. My general advice is trust no one, ask many questions, a! nd hope for the best....Show more
Cornelius Thornborrow: Why don'! t you start by adding a second box in your bathroom. Let kitty get used to it for several weeks, then remove the one in the laundry room. If you really don't want to get another box, then move the one in the laundry room slowly toward the bathroom. If you do go for my first suggestion, you might consider leaving the one in the laundry room, however. It never hurts to have two boxes. At our clinic, our recommendations for number of litter boxes goes like this: the number of boxes should equal the number of cats PLUS one. So one cat should have two boxes, two cats should have three boxes, etc. The bigger the house, the more boxes there should be spread throughout the house, especially if there are young kittens or older cats who have a hard time moving quickly.Good luck!...Show more
Derrick Smsith: That is all false. I use the Swiffer Wet Jet daily and I have a small dog and a cat and neither one has ever gotten sick from this. Most of the cleaning fluid in those ! wet jet bottles is water, somewhere between 90 and 100%. With propylene glycol and isopropyl alcohol making up the other 1 to 4 percent. The rest of the ingredients is preservatives and minor ingredients. Ethylene glycol the component of antifreeze is what can kill your pets and it is not an ingredient in the wet jet. I hope this helps....Show more
Tommy Durrenberger: It might, but she will catch on.Show her where it is and she will take it from there.
Stormy Beliard: Lock her in the bathroom with the litter box for a little while. Also put her in the littler box so she realizes its there. My litter boxes get rotated through the house depending on the weather. Spring, summer and early fall the boxes are on the front porch and the doors open. Winter the boxes are scattered through the house. And when I move the boxes around, I just pick up each cat and toss it in the box, that way they know where its at now.
Russell Mckinzie: I go with redlvt - have one in b! oth places for a while. She will decide where she likes it best and th! at is the best place to have it.
Davina Shindler: She'll find it.
Carli Watterson: Schesir Cat Food
Eldridge Rieves: just show her where it is a few times. Pick her up once an hour for about four hours and put her in the litter box. cats are smart and don't usually have any problems when you move their litter box. But you might want to remember that they can kick litter around and you don't want to step out of the shower and on to kitty litter that she kicked out.
Marcellus Yoshimori: I rescue cats and have always use a swiffer wet jet and NEVER had any of my cats get sick. so there is probably something else that made them sick. Go to the vet A.S.A.P and tell them everything you have gave your kitty
Pei Heatherly: stick your penis in the cats mouth and then save its life by pulling it out before the cat chokes.then stab it and sacrifice it to the lord speghetti monster !!!! *** me in da *** hole ima chritsian awww hell yeah heaven here i come ! to all the cold beer and hot std free strippers
Rosann Mccomb: The Swiffer is not likely the cause of your cat's illness nor is Swiffer antifreeze. Antifreeze causes a completely different set of clinical signs. Take your cat in to your vet to have the cause of your kitty's vomiting discovered.
Jonathon Labonne: keep her in the bathroom for a few nighs and shut the laundry room door - she will figure it out soon enoughlaundry rooms are one of the worst places for litter boxes becuase when the cycle changes it can frighten a cat and stop them from using the box in the future so good idea...
Irma Poiter: Cats like things to stay the same and change upsets them. Yes it will probably confuse her and she may end up using your floor or carpet instead. The best way to move a litter box is gradually, a foot or two a day. If it seems that she is getting upset in any way and doesnt like he change start over. Moving it slowly over time should not disturb her that! much though and it is the best way to help her adjust to the change.! p>
Rolanda Merritt: I ve been buying Schesir wet cat food. Now I am questioning it, because during a research I learned that "Aloe" is toxic to cats and Schesir has included Aloe in their wet food.
Reginald Maxi: it just showed up in my pet-store, and I bought a bag of their dry food. My cat LOVES it. He did eat their caned food, as addition to his dry food, which was Royal Canin. Schesir seems god, by the ingredients I see on the packaging, but my cat had some liver problems, and taurine deficiency, so he's getting CaloPet every day, and I feel like I should be very careful with his diet, so I'd really like to know if anyone has any experience with Schesir dry food, and should I trust that company?...Show more
Todd Stogner: Move it gradually and you should not have a problem. Each couple of days move it few feet until you have it where you want it.
Vernon Martorana: idk
Caterina Yeargan: God your rude!
Tereasa Sorensen: there is this cat th! at is consistently either in my yard or my surrounding neighbors and it doesn't belong to any of us. I whodunit relay care except it wears a bell on its neck and makes noise were ever it goes two problems. it keeps me up at night alone with its sound and it makes my dog consistently bark when it hears it which happens about 10 times a night. Is there any thing i can do about this cat along the lines of getting it to stop coming around my house.
Micah Schwarcz: Wow, you must have done something wrong for a cat to be terrorizing you. Count yourself lucky it hasn't killed you yet.
