I heard its not good to drink carbonated drinks when pregnant. True or false?

Gaylord Barragan: False it is fine, nothing about the carbonated drink is going to hurt your baby. The caffeine is what is the problem in to large of amounts.

Ollie Hamiel: True. Carbonation is hard on the kidneys and your kidneys are already under strain from the pregnancy. It also doubles your risk for kidney stones. Just ask a couple of gals here on the forum how much they loved having kidney stones during pregnancy.Limit your carbonated drinks to one can a day.

Morris Cuomo: yes its fine to drink heck carbonated water works great for morning sickness if you can stand the taste now caffeine you should cut back on

Delmer Pectol: I dont think its the carbonation thats the issue, its if its a caffeinated beverage, and of course if the bubbles give you heartburn and gasI love drinking fruit juice spritzers! *virgin of course* there great over ice and so refreshing, plus I feel part of the social scene at a bbq when I have one! sort of like a virgin co! oler!Id be careful at how much sugar is one of those too, most juices and pop..etc have soo much sugar its rediculous...Show more

Antonette Shappy: Its true that caffeine is not good during pregnancy. But one soda a day or 2 cups of coffee is fine. Just make sure you exercise. So false carbonated drinks are fine, caffeine is not.

Moises Rupinski: I drank them throughout my 3 pregnancies and my doctor just told me not to consume more than 3 per day
