They need to count a set of objects using one-to-one correspondence, count out a specified amount from a larger group of objects, identify the larger or small or two sets of objects. If the child already knows colors, shapes, counting till 100 or so, more/less, above/below and is no longer interested in repeating such things..I thought teaching addition/subtraction comes next as she is already trying to add toys or so. Also I see schools are teaching addition! and subtraction (without regrouping) in Kindergarten these da! ys. Am I not right? I may be not that right as I am not really experience.
