Ester Bryand: Naturally the topic of your newsletter would make a difference in where to advertise because you'll want to keep advertising related to the target market of your audience. One suggestion is to consider yourself an expert on your topic and write articles that relate to your topic and a little blurb about your contact information including your newsletter site address. Those articles are not to be used for solicitation but rather for information. You can ask local (non competing) businesses to help you get the word out with either flyers or business cards. Word of mouth is a good advertising medium as well. Don't spend too much money on advertising unless you have the base of clients to support the costs and then realize that if you have a legitimate business license, you can claim any and all advertising costs off your taxes. Why pay out of pocket if you have a legal business??? Your accountant will also be a nice tax write off....Show more
